Serikoff Ship Models

Catter Alert (1777) - HMS Victory (1805)

At the shipyard

My name is Sergey, but in the shipbuilding world I’m known as serikoff.

From 2009 to 2013 I built HMS Victory... and after a ten year break, in 2023 I returned to construction, but in 2025 I put work on pause again, as I took up another very large project.

So, I am building two hulls Catter Alert in parallel. The 1st hull is PoF from the kit (but with significant modifications), and the 2nd hull — full planking and full rigging.

Materials to be used in construction. Wood: Pear (6 different shades), black and blue Hornbeam, yellow Boxwood. Metal: copper, brass, steel, tin + copper plating and blackening. Rigging: threads Amann + tinted. Sail: percale + bitumen. Model coating: Tung and Danish oil + bitumen (antique effect).
